Job summary

Tangent International is seeking a highly skilled PS Core Engineer in Saudi Arabia to deploy and optimize Ericsson EPC and 5G core nodes, including MME/PGW/SMF/UPF, with expertise in GTP, Diameter, HTTP/2, and SCTP. You will work with ENM/ENIQ, Wireshark, and cloud-native platforms to ensure service continuity and performance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, KPI analysis, automation scripting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
4 to 8 years in Packet Switched Core (PS Core), EPC, and 5G Core engineering.
Hands-on Ericsson experience and familiarity with core signaling protocols.
Experience with cloud-native and virtualized infrastructures (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, VMware).

Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and manage Ericsson Packet Core (EPC) and 5G Core elements (MME, EPG, PGW, SGW, SMF, UPF).
Troubleshoot, fault isolate, and optimize PS/5G core domains.
Analyze signaling protocols (GTP, Diameter, HTTP/2, SIP, SCTP) with Wireshark and vendor tools.
Monitor KPIs and capacity using ENM/ENIQ and OSS platforms.
Manage VNFs/CNFs across Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, VMware.
Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, Expect, AWK) for core operations.
Collaborate with NOC, field engineering, and client stakeholders.
Adhere to regulatory standards, change control, and security procedures.
Participate in on-call, incident response, and maintenance windows.
Document architecture, runbooks, and RCAs.
