Job summary

This role requires a Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Construction Engineering degree and 10+ years of heavy industry construction experience, with strong planning, reporting, and contractor management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, construction engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of construction experience within mining & metals or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles, field execution, and project controls.
• Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary construction activities.
• Familiarity with international construction codes, industry standards, and HSE requirements.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and construction reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP certification or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all construction activities to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project execution.
• Monitor construction progress against schedules, budgets, and project milestones.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents for constructability and compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary construction teams, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards and regulations.
• Support construction planning, sequencing, resource allocation, and productivity improvements.
• Identify technical issues, risks, and interface conflicts and develop practical solutions.
• Conduct site inspections, progress reviews, and quality audits to verify work execution.
• Monitor contractor performance and adherence to contracts.
• Prepare construction reports, forecasts, change requests, and progress updates for management.
• Coordinate material delivery, equipment availability, and site logistics to minimize delays.
• Support commissioning, startup, testing, and handover activities.
