Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks an experienced Commercial Manager for the Diriyah Square development in Saudi Arabia. You will lead commercial oversight on large-scale projects under FIDIC contracts, coordinating with the cost consultant, contractors, and client to manage payments, variations, and claims.

The role requires 12–15 years in construction commercial management, with exposure to mega-projects and Middle East experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, civil engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (MRICS, CIOB, or equivalent) highly desirable.
• 12-15 years of commercial management experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
• Experience with FIDIC contract conditions (Red/Yellow/Silver) in Engineer or PMC teams.
• Experience in mega-projects (US$500M+).
• Experience in the Middle East/GCC, preferably Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive commercial management for Diriyah Square development as part of the FIDIC Engineer and PMC team.
• Administer FIDIC conditions and ensure contractual compliance.
• Review and evaluate contractor payments, variations, claims, and extensions of time.
• Manage commercial aspects of multiple work packages and contracts.
• Prepare and present commercial reports to senior management and clients.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee cost consultant deliverables and validate cost reports and change orders.
• Coordinate cost management across cost consultant, contractors, and client.
• Lead administration of FIDIC-based contracts and issue engineer's instructions.
• Evaluate contractor claims and manage variation orders from inception to close-out.
• Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and records.
• Monitor budgets and cash flows; approve interim payments and final accounts.
• Act as commercial interface with client, contractors, and PMC team; facilitate meetings and dispute resolution.
