Job summary

Manpower Resources India is seeking an experienced CCM Operator to manage continuous casting of billets from the pulpit control room, ensuring safe, stable and continuous casting per required production and quality parameters.

Key responsibilities include monitoring casting speed, mould and tundish levels, cooling-water parameters, and coordinating with operations and maintenance teams to minimize interruptions and defects.

Qualifications

• Experience: 9+ years in steelmaking or CCM operations.
• Proven ability to operate and monitor CCM from pulpit control room.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor billet CCM from the control pulpit during casting operations.
• Monitor casting parameters: speed, mould level, tundish level, and steel flow.
• Oversee mould cooling-water parameters: flow, pressure, temperature.
• Manage secondary cooling systems and related controls as required.
• Monitor withdrawal, straightening, and strand guide systems.
• Coordinate with EAF, LRF, tundish & CCM maintenance teams.
• Maintain shift records of speed, sequence, delays, alarms and production parameters.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, LOTO, and emergency operating procedures.
• Support troubleshooting and coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical teams.
