Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking a senior Maintenance Manager to plan, lead and optimize MEU maintenance activities across a heavy manufacturing plant ensuring maximum equipment availability while controlling costs.

The role requires 10–15 years in maintenance within continuous‑process or metals sectors and 3–5 years in a leadership capacity. A strong focus on TPM/RCM, CMMS, and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; 10–15 years of maintenance experience in continuous-process or heavy manufacturing preferably cable conductor aluminium or metals plants.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a maintenance management or department head role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance department and manage engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Develop and execute the preventive and predictive maintenance programme.
• Maximise equipment availability and minimise unplanned downtime.
• Plan and deliver annual shutdowns and major overhauls on time and within budget.
• Manage the maintenance budget, spare parts inventory and cost control.
• Lead root cause analysis of breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve the CMMS and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor and report maintenance KPIs to management.
• Support capital projects equipment installation and commissioning.
• Develop the technical capability of the maintenance team.
• Work closely with Production and Quality to improve process reliability.

Job Purpose

To plan lead and manage all mechanical electrical and utility maintenance activities of the plant ensuring maximum equipment availability reliability and safety of overhead line conductor manufacturing operations while optimizing maintenance cost spare parts inventory and contractor performance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 10 15 years of maintenance experience in continuous-process or heavy manufacturing preferably cable conductor aluminium or metals plants
• Minimum 3 5 years in a maintenance management or department head role
• Professional certification in maintenance reliability management CMRP PMP is a plus

Technical Experience

• Preventive predictive and corrective maintenance programme management Rod mill wire drawing stranding and annealing equipment maintenance
• Mechanical systems gearboxes bearings hydraulics and pneumatics
• Electrical systems LV MV switchgear motors VFDs and drives PLC and instrumentation troubleshooting
• Utilities compressors chillers cooling towers and water treatment
• CMMS implementation and maintenance data management
• Annual shutdown and overhaul planning and execution
• Spare parts planning criticality analysis and inventory control
• Maintenance budgeting cost control and contractor management

Knowledge Skills
