Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Assistant I Transport Operations to unload/load stock, accurately record deliveries, and move stock within the warehouse at the SPARK facility (King Salman Energy Park). The role reports to the Project Procurement Manager and requires strict adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Able to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets.
  • Able to work well under pressure and handle emergencies.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 3-5 years experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid forklift license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
  • Good communication skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly inspecting stocks for damages and discrepancies and ensuring stock counts periodically.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory records
  • Using forklifts, hand carts, or pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange stocks.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
  • Packing products for dispatch
  • Coordinate with Quality Team to ensure quality check for inbound deliveries.
  • Ensure reception of materials is sorted, labelled, and stored per standards
  • Emphasise material and transportation operations and cost management
  • Ensure deliveries are well stacked and secure to avoid damage
  • Adhere to local health, safety and environmental policies
  • Maintain proper tracking of materials in warehouse
  • Check ageing of materials and scrap unused excess per guidelines
  • Report damaged or missing items to supervisor

Job description

The role of Senior Assistant I Transport Operations will be unloading and loading stock, accurately recording deliveries into the warehouse, moving stock around the warehouse, and collecting stock for deliveries. All these duties to be always performed in a safe manner with an awareness of individual responsibility for health and safety.

This role will be crucial in maintaining and reporting accurate stock. The position will report to the Project Procurement Manager. And located in SPARK facility (King Salman Energy Park).

The role requirements include detail-oriented, adept at operating forklifts, and able to stand for extended periods. Ultimately, an outstanding warehouse operator should adhere to all warehouse safety practices as well as demonstrate exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly inspecting stocks for any damages and discrepancies and ensuring Stock count is done on a periodic basis.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory records
  • Using forklifts, hand carts, or pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange stocks accordingly.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
  • Packing products for dispatch
  • Coordinate with Quality Team to ensure Quality check is completed for Inbound deliveries.
  • Ensuring a well-coordinated reception of all materials, items, and products, and making sure they are sorted, labelled, and stored per company standards and policies.
  • Places a strong emphasis on material and transportation operations and cost management.
  • Make sure your deliveries are perfectly stacked and secure to reduce the risk of damaged product
  • Adhere to any local health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self staff and visitors
  • Maintain proper tracking of materials in warehouse
  • Check the ageing of materials and follow the process to scrap the unused excess materials as per company guidelines
  • Report any damaged or missing items to supervisor immediately
Qualifications

  • A valid forklift license.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as warehouse management software.
  • Ability to multi-task and Good communication skills
