Job summary

NEOM Green Hydrogen Company is seeking a Security Foreman to lead security operations across NGHC sites, ensuring safety, incident management, and effective post instruction implementation. You will supervise security personnel, coordinate with the Security Manager, and ensure high standards of operational performance and customer service.

You will conduct risk assessments, manage on-site security assets, and liaise with emergency services as needed.

Qualifications

  • Technically based degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years in high-pressure security.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • Industrial security experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of NGHC EHS&S policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor security staff during assigned shifts.
  • Conduct routine checks of posts and personnel.
  • Perform risk assessments with end-users and safety teams.
  • Oversee all shift security operations and stay on call.
  • Review and report on security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain standards for personnel, equipment and assets.
  • Ensure compliance with NGHC EHS&S procedures.
  • Brief and deploy teams to tasks as directed.
  • Supervise daily security activities under Security Manager.
  • Oversee Entry Points, Emergency Response, Traffic Teams, and visitor operations.
  • Monitor security systems, identify deficiencies and report faults.
  • Ensure effective use of Proof of Presence tech and patrols.
  • Respond to incidents and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Prepare incident and security reports and registers.
  • Coordinate with emergency services when required.

Air Products, ACWA Power, and NEOM have partnered to develop an $8.4 billion green hydrogen-based ammonia production facility in NEOM. The project integrates renewable solar, wind, and storage power to produce green ammonia for global export, with operations scheduled to commence in 2026.

Role Overview

The Security Foreman is responsible for ensuring all security operations and systems are functioning effectively throughout each shift. The role oversees daily security operations, incident management, implementation of post instructions, and coordination of security activities across NGHC sites, including GHE, Solar, and Wind facilities. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day shift operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor all security staff during assigned shifts.
  • Conduct routine checks of security posts, occurrence books, and personnel.
  • Perform risk assessments in coordination with end-users, safety teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee all shift security operations and remain on call as required.
  • Review and report on security policies, procedures, and operational instructions.
  • Maintain operational standards for personnel, equipment, and security assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all NGHC EHS&S procedures.
  • Brief, deploy, and assign teams and individuals to operational tasks.
  • Supervise daily security activities as directed by the Security Manager.
  • Oversee Entry Control Points, Emergency Response, Traffic Management Teams, Building Security Officers, Visitor Centre operations, and other security functions.
  • Monitor technical security systems, identify deficiencies, and report faults.
  • Ensure effective use of Proof of Presence technology and supervise security patrols.
  • Respond to security incidents and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Prepare incident reports, operational reports, and security registers.
  • Liaise with emergency services when required.
  • Deliver the highest standards of customer and employee service.
  • Monitor security service provider performance against agreed KPIs and provide reports to Security Management.
  • Maintain the operational competence of security personnel through continuous assessment, training, exercises, and testing.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
  • Technically based degree.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-pressure security environment.
  • Leadership or people management training, or demonstrated operational leadership capability.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an industrial environment is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and operational control skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Thorough understanding of NGHC EHS&S policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to command respect.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to exercise sound judgment.
  • High level of concentration and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to interface effectively with the Security Control Centre (SCC) and manage reporting requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • Professional understanding of implementing security policies and procedures.
  • Experience in security or operational management environments.
  • Understanding of EHS&S requirements.
  • Knowledge of technical security systems.
  • Ability to understand NGHC security operations.
  • Previous industrial security experience.

Additional Requirements
  • Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) certification (GHE only).
  • Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid Security License.
  • Valid driving license with a safe driving record for the previous 24 months.
  • Ability to provide a 3-year verifiable employment history.
  • Successful completion of HCIS screening and authorization.
  • Completion of Government Medical Test and Police Clearance / HCIS background check.
