Applus+ in Riyadh seeks a seasoned Technical Manager to lead the Construction Materials Testing Department, ensuring ISO/IEC 17025 compliance, maintaining accreditation, and driving technical quality across concrete, soil, aggregates, asphalt, cement, and reinforcement steel.

The role oversees laboratory and field operations, drives staff development, and supports clients, tenders, and business growth in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction materials testing laboratories.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Saudi Arabia in a Technical Manager, Laboratory Manager, or senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, laboratory accreditation, and international standards.
Proven technical leadership and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage construction materials testing activities (concrete, soil, aggregates, asphalt, cement, reinforcement steel).
Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ASTM, AASHTO, BS, EN, and SASO standards.
Oversee testing procedures, method validation, equipment calibration, and laboratory reports accuracy.
Maintain laboratory accreditation and coordinate assessments, audits, and corrective actions.
Manage staff competency, technical training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical support to clients and contribute to proposals, tenders, and business development.
