Job summary

Wesco Outside Sales is seeking a Representative to develop new prospects and engage with assigned customers to grow sales and margins. The role focuses on face-to-face selling and account management, interacting with technical, operations, and executive levels to deliver bids and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, expanding account plans, and delivering value through promotions and supplier programs.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
• High School Degree or Equivalent;Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two years of industry experience preferred.
• Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers.
• Flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills; ability to present.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel 50% - 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and suggest products, services and solutions.
• Execute and expand assigned account plans with management.
• Drive billing margin initiatives through value-added services and supplier programs.
• Prospect potential customers, including cold calling and referrals.
• Communicate with customers to identify product needs and provide demonstrations.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain relationships post-sale.
• Develop product knowledge through supplier training and joint calls.
• Provide quotations directly or with sales support.
