Job summary

Client of Profco is seeking a pediatric CSICU registered nurse to care for children post-cardiac or thoracic surgery in a specialized ICU. You will monitor patients, assist with critical care tasks, and support families in a high-acuity setting.

The Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit CSICU cares for Pediatric patients requiring surgical treatment of cardiac or thoracic problems This population includes patients requiring or having had thoracic surgery of the heart lungs or great vessels Off-service patients requiring ICU cardiac monitoring or other nursing services may be admitted based on the availability of beds

Surgical Procedures

• Most commonly seen surgical procedures include Congenital cardiac defect repairsCoronary artery bypass surgeryValve repair and or replacementHeart transplantECMOVAD bridge to recovery and or transplantPacemaker implantationLeft ventricular assist deviceAssist with emergency procedures at bed side open chest ECMO cannulation percutaneous tracheostomy
