Client of Ben Khan hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Surgery Unit. The role involves pre- and post-operative management, patient assessment, and family education to support recovery in children up to 14 years old.
Responsibilities include monitoring, wound care, pain control, IV and airway management, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality care across shifts in a 24/7 hospital setting.
The Department of Surgery is the largest surgical department at our client hospital serving the people of Saudi Arabia and providing national leadership in surgical science for nearly 30 years. It consists of nine sub‑specialty sections:
Some unique services provided include reconstructive surgery, microsurgery, complex cadaveric and living related transplantations, difficult kidney transplants with multiple arteries and pediatrics less than 10kg, combined lung‑pancreas transplantations, minimally invasive surgery (adult, pediatric and neonates), robotic surgery, surgical treatment of morbid obesity (gastric band, bypass, sleeve gastrectomy), and laser and vacuum‑assisted wound care.
The Pediatric Surgery Unit treats patients from infants to age 14years. Most patients have multiple and complex medical conditions requiring a multidisciplinary approach. This patient population requires diagnostic work‑up, medical‑surgical management, nursing assessment, intervention, and education. Specialties include:
Number of beds: 27. Nurse:patient ratio – Day 1: 3‑4, Night 1: 4‑5. Hours of operation: 24hours a day, 7 days a week.
