Allocation Assist Middle East recruitment seeks a Consultant PICU Specialist in Saudi Arabia to lead pediatric critical care in a high-acuity setting.
The role requires ventilation management, invasive monitoring, and collaboration with subspecialists, with at least 5 years of PICU experience and appropriate licensing. Excellent clinical governance and family communication are essential.
The Consultant PICU Specialist will provide senior clinical management for children requiring continuous monitoring, organ support, mechanical ventilation, invasive procedures, and rapid intervention for life‑threatening illness or injury. The role requires confident decision‑making across respiratory failure, severe infection, neurological emergencies, postoperative deterioration, hemodynamic instability, and other complex pediatric presentations. Working closely with pediatric subspecialists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and intensive care nurses, the consultant will coordinate individualized treatment while maintaining high standards of safety and clinical governance.
The successful candidate will hold an MBBS, medical degree, or equivalent recognized qualification together with specialist training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Board Certification, CCT, Fellowship, European Board, American Board, or another equivalent recognized specialist credential is required. Applicants should bring at least 5 years of Consultant‑level PICU experience, preferably gained within a tertiary‑care or internationally accredited hospital. UK CCT, Irish, European, Australian, Canadian, or American Board credentials are particularly relevant to the preferred profile. Strong experience in high‑acuity intensive care, pediatric ventilation, sedation, invasive monitoring, airway management, and emergency stabilization is expected. Candidates must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensing and should demonstrate strong clinical leadership, multidisciplinary communication, and the ability to make sound decisions in rapidly changing critical care situations.
This opportunity provides an experienced pediatric critical care consultant with access to high‑acuity clinical practice within a modern tertiary healthcare environment in Saudi Arabia. The role offers meaningful exposure to advanced ventilation, complex pediatric emergencies, invasive monitoring, multidisciplinary intensive care, and challenging clinical decision‑making. Internationally qualified physicians can also benefit from long‑term professional development, advanced PICU infrastructure, leadership opportunities, and continued clinical education. The employment package includes competitive tax‑free remuneration, housing and transportation allowance, family benefits where applicable, medical insurance, annual leave, airfare allowance, and CME support.
