Job summary

BEC Arabia in Makkah seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer (QS) to oversee mechanical systems, drive cost-efficient project execution, and uphold quality standards on large-scale projects across the Kingdom.

You will lead quantity surveying, cost estimation, and contract management while coordinating with architects, civil engineers, and project managers. Proficiency in SBC, ARAMCO standards, OSHA/NEBOSH/ISO 45001 is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering and quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and BIM tools such as Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of SBC, ARAMCO standards, and other relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with safety standards including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the quantity surveying process for mechanical systems, including cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and ensure alignment with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to validate mechanical system designs and ensure constructability.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during all phases of mechanical work (OSHA/NEBOSH/ISO 45001).
  • Collaborate with procurement to source materials meeting specs and budget constraints.
