Job summary

ENGINEERINGUK is seeking an Associate to support origination of new business and financial advisory mandates in the Power and Infrastructure sectors. You will collaborate with the MEA RHQ and Saudi team on project and structured finance, delivering robust models and client-ready solutions.

You will work to maximise sponsor returns, structure transactions to mitigate risk, and manage client relationships while contributing to cross-market initiatives and deal execution.

Qualifications

Project Finance financial advisory experience - essential.
Financial modelling skills - essential.
Knowledge of project and corporate finance structures, coupled with the ability to develop innovative solutions for the client - essential.
Customer relationship management and marketing skills - essential.
Knowledge of relevant markets and sources of finance - essential.
Language skills English / Arabic - essential.
Middle East transaction experience - highly desirable.
Originate to Distribute experience - highly desirable.
Sector knowledge across Power, Renewables, Natural Resources and PFI/Infrastructure - desirable.
Working knowledge of relevant areas of law and accounting - desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist origination of new business opportunities and client relationships.
Support financial advisory mandates and project finance transactions.
Ensure mandates are executed with focus on sponsor returns and timeliness.
Structure transactions to mitigate risks.
Cross-market and cross-sell products where possible.
Contribute to management of client relationships.
Prepare financial models and pitchbooks as needed.
Collaborate with MEA RHQ and Saudi team on project/structured finance.
Perform other duties as required by MD/Team Head.

Profile Summary

Assisting 1) the origination of new business opportunities and relationship, 2) on financial advisory mandates and 3) Project Finance / Structured Finance transactions together with the Power and Energy Transition and PFI/Infrastructure team in London as required by the MDs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support financial advisory mandate
Origination of suitable transactions
Ensure that financial advisory mandates are executed with due attention paid to maximising sponsor returns and in a timely manner
Ensure that transactions are structured to mitigate risks to the appropriate degree
Cross-market and cross-sell where possible including products
Contribute to overall professional management of client relationships
Financial modelling and & Pitchbook preparation where relevant
Provide general support and assistance to the team assigned from time to time
To collaborate and communicate with managements in Mizuho MEA RHQ, Mizuho Saudi Arabia Company and other Mizuho team related to Project Finance and Structured Finance
Other duties as may be requested by the Managing Director and/or Team Head in support of the Department's ongoing business requirements.
