Job summary

Mizuho EMEA is seeking a senior project finance advisor to originate and manage financial advisory mandates in the Power, Renewables, NRI, and Infrastructure sectors from MEA/SA offices. You will structure deals and collaborate with cross‑market teams.

The role requires strong customer relationships, deep knowledge of project finance structures, and fluency in English and Arabic. Saudi Arabia-based candidates preferred, with regional experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Project finance advisory experience is essential.
• Knowledge of project and corporate finance structures; ability to develop client solutions is essential.
• Customer relationship management and marketing skills are essential.
• Knowledge of relevant markets and sources of finance is essential.
• Language skills in English and Arabic are essential.
• Middle East transaction experience is highly desirable.
• Originate-to-distribute experience is highly desirable.
• Sector knowledge across Power, Renewables, Natural Resources and PFI/Infrastructure is desirable.
• Working knowledge of relevant areas of law and accounting is desirable.
• Banking training or experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Origination of suitable transactions.
• Ensure mandates are executed to maximise sponsor returns and timely.
• Structure transactions to mitigate risks.
• Cross-market and cross-sell where possible including products.
• Contribute to management of client relationships.
• Financial modelling and Pitchbook preparation where relevant.
• Provide general support to the team.
• Collaborate with Mizuho MEA RHQ and Saudi Arabia teams on Project/Structured Finance.
• Other duties as required by MD or Team Head.

Assisting 1) the origination of new business opportunities and relationship, 2) on financial advisory mandates and 3) Project Finance / Structured Finance transactions together with the Power and Energy Transition and PFI/Infrastructure team in London as required by the MDs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Origination of suitable transactions
• Ensure that financial advisory mandates are executed with due attention paid to maximising sponsor returns and in a timely manner
• Ensure that transactions are structured to mitigate risks to the appropriate degree
• Cross-market and cross-sell where possible including products
• Contribute to overall professional management of client relationships
• Financial modelling and & Pitchbook preparation where relevant
• Provide general support and assistance to the team assigned from time to time
• To collaborate and communicate with managements in Mizuho MEA RHQ, Mizuho Saudi Arabia Company and other Mizuho team related to Project Finance and Structured Finance
• Other duties as may be requested by the Managing Director and/or Team Head in support of the Department’s ongoing business requirements.
