Job summary

Wood is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, to lead structural/infrastructure works across diverse building types. You will originate and revise deliverables, ensure compliance with Wood procedures, and supervise junior engineers while coordinating with the Project Manager and other disciplines.

This role requires extensive oil & gas experience, FEED/EPC exposure, and proficiency in structural software (STAAD, Foundation 3D, SACS).

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years’ experience in the oil & gas industry with an established contractor, operator, or consultancy.
• 5+ years' experience in structural engineering and design.
• Experience in SACS.
• FEED and EPC project execution experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, MATHCAD, Foundation 3D, STAAD and STADDpro).
• Familiar with editing, opening, and reading drawings in AutoCAD / Microstation.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee structural/infrastructure works across building types.
• Originate and revise engineering deliverables.
• Check deliverables against standards and procedures.
• Supervise junior engineers.
• Plan work to meet man-hour allocations and avoid slippage.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and team members.
• Manage billability and delegation of work.
• Coordinate with all disciplines in deliverables development.
• Site visits to verify conditions and markups.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
