Job summary

DAR Engineering, based in Riyadh, seeks an experienced Business Development Engineer focused on the Power and Energy sector. You will bridge DAR's engineering capabilities with developers and contractors across the full project lifecycle, develop targeted BD strategies, and lead client engagements in Saudi Arabia.

The role requires a strong electrical engineering background, 6+ years of relevant experience, and fluency in English (Arabic preferred) to drive strategic opportunities and growth.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 6 years of overall relevant experience in engineering, design, and consulting.
• 3–4 years specifically in sales, business development, or marketing within Power/Energy.
• Strong familiarity with power generation, transmission, distribution, and substations.
• Saudi Arabia experience is highly preferred with an existing network.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in Power & Energy in Saudi Arabia.
• Develop and execute a focused BD strategy targeting developers and EPC contractors.
• Build relationships with developers, utilities, and energy sector stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, tenders, and mega-project pipelines aligned to Vision 2030.
• Lead client engagement from initial approach to proposal submission and negotiation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to reflect scope and value in proposals.
