Branch of Sterling and Wilson Data Center Private is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Plumbing & Fire Fighting Engineer to execute and monitor plumbing and fire-fighting works for Data Center projects. You will supervise domestic water drainage, sewage, storm-water systems and fire-water networks while coordinating with MEP teams for interfaces and clash resolution.
The role requires 5–7 years of relevant experience, strong hands-on expertise in fire-fighting components, and the ability to read
Execute and monitor plumbing and fire-fighting works for Data Center projects as per approved drawings specifications and project schedule Supervise installation of domestic water drainage sewage storm-water plumbing and associated piping systems Execute fire-fighting systems including fire water piping sprinkler systems hydrants hose reels fire pumps and fire tanks Coordinate with Mechanical Electrical Civil Structural and other MEP teams for service interfaces and clash resolution Monitor subcontractor manpower materials productivity and daily work progress Ensure installation complies with approved drawings method statements quality and HSE requirements Coordinate inspections pressure testing flushing testing commissioning and closure of snags NCRs Review site requirements identify execution issues and coordinate timely technical resolution Prepare daily weekly progress reports and support project planning and handover activities
Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Plumbing / Fire Fighting Engineering or relevant discipline.5–7 years of relevant experience in Plumbing & Fire Fighting execution, preferably in Data Centers, industrial or large-scale MEP projects.Strong hands-on experience in fire-fighting systems, sprinkler, hydrant, fire pumps, fire tanks and fire-water networks.Good knowledge of domestic water supply, drainage, sewage and storm-water systems.Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, P&IDs, layouts and shop drawings.Experience in subcontractor management, site coordination, testing & commissioning and project handover.Good understanding of applicable NFPA, NBC, IS and local fire authority requirements.Strong site execution, coordination and problem-solving skills.Prior Data Center / mission-critical project experience will be highly preferred.
