Job summary

Branch of Sterling and Wilson Data Center Private is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop and review SLDs, load calculations, cable sizing, and layouts for data center projects. You will coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, ELV and Execution teams, ensure compliance with IEC/IS/NFPA standards, and support site teams with design clarifications and timely deliverables.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5–8 years of data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5–8 years of relevant electrical design experience, preferably in Data Centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, DG, UPS, transformers, electrical panels, busducts and power distribution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is advantageous.
• Good understanding of IEC/IS/NFPA standards and electrical design practices.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop electrical design deliverables for Data Center projects (SLDs, load schedules, cable sizing, equipment sizing, layouts, earthing, lighting designs).
• Support design of HT/LT distribution transformers, DGs, UPS, PDU, PMCC, busducts and critical power systems.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, ELV and Execution teams for interfaces and clash resolution.
• Review vendor/consultant drawings and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support to site teams for design clarifications and execution-related issues.
• Maintain design documentation revisions and technical records per project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 - 8 years of relevant electrical design experience, preferably in Data Centers, mission-critical facilities or large-scale industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, DG, UPS, transformers, electrical panels, busducts and power distribution.
• Hands-on experience in SLDs, load calculations, equipment sizing, cable sizing and electrical layouts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of IEC/IS/NFPA standards and electrical design practices.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Strong analytical, documentation and technical problem-solving skills.
• Prior Data Center/mission-critical project experience preferred.
