Job summary

Al-Dawaa Medical Services Company in Jeddah seeks a dedicated pharmacist to join our team. You will prepare and dispense medications, assess prescriptions, counsel patients, and support MOH compliance in daily pharmacy operations.

The role emphasizes stock management, education of customers, process automation where applicable, and supervising pharmacy staff to ensure high quality patient care in line with DMSCO policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications and cosmetics to patients.
• Assess physician orders (prescriptions) for dosing, interactions, allergies, and communicate issues.
• Contribute to internal and external educational or performance-enhancement programs.
• Prepare periodic orders from the main warehouse for items required in the pharmacy.
• Monitor stock status per DMSCO policies and procedures.
• Receive, inspect, and report all pharmacy orders from the main warehouse per DMSCO policies and procedures.
• Inform and educate customers about items of interest to them.
• Provide counseling for patients/customers based on their needs.
• Automate pharmacy activities per DMSCO policies and procedures where applicable.
• Supervise subordinates in all pharmacy activities.
• Adhere to MOH rules and regulations (Saudi Arabia).
• Cooperate with management to implement DMSCO strategies.
• Report non-compliance with DMSCO quality standards.

Job description

Prepares and dispenses medications and cosmetics to patients.

Assessment of a physician orders (prescriptions) for appropriate dosing, interaction, potential allergies and taking the appropriate action to resolve or communicate potential problems.

Contributes to DMSCO internal and/or external educational or performance enhancement programs.

Preparing periodical orders from the main warehouse for all items required or needed in the pharmacy.

Monitor the stock status for all items in the pharmacy according to DMSCO policies and procedures.

Receive, inspect, and report all orders received by the pharmacy from the main warehouse as per DMSCO policies and procedures.

Communicate and educate customers about any item(s) they are interested in.

Provide counseling for patients and/or customers relative to their specific needs.

Automate all pharmacy activities according to DMSCO policies and procedures, when applicable.

Supervise subordinates for all activities related to pharmacy practice.

Adherence to Saudi Arabia MOH rules and regulations.

Cooperate with management to implement the strategies of DMSCO.

Report any non-compliance with DMSCO quality standards.
