Job summary

Al-Dawaa Medical Services Company in Saudi Arabia seeks a Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications and provide counseling to patients and customers.

The role includes assessing prescriptions for dosing, interactions, allergies, and communicating any safety concerns, while ensuring compliance with MOH rules and DMSCO policies.

The pharmacist will monitor stock, receive orders, educate customers, supervise staff, and contribute to quality and improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications and cosmetics to patients.
• Assess prescriptions for dosing, interactions, allergies, and communicate safety issues.
• Contribute to educational or performance programs.
• Manage nightly stock from the main warehouse and monitor inventory.
• Receive and inspect orders from the main warehouse per policies.
• Educate customers about items they are interested in.
• Provide counseling for patients/customers on their needs.
• Automate pharmacy activities per policies.
• Supervise subordinates on pharmacy activities.
• Adhere to MOH rules and DMSCO policies.
• Cooperate with management to implement DMSCO strategies.
• Report non-compliance with quality standards.

Job description

Prepares and dispenses medications and cosmetics to patients.

Assessment of a physician orders (prescriptions) for appropriate dosing, interaction, potential allergies, and taking the appropriate action to resolve or communicate potential problems.

Contributes to DMSCO internal and/or external educational or performance enhancement programs.

Preparing periodical orders from the main warehouse for all items required or needed in the pharmacy.

Monitor the stock status for all items in the pharmacy according to DMSCO policies and procedures.

Receive, inspect, and report all orders received by the pharmacy from the main warehouse as per DMSCO policies and procedures.

Communicate and educate customers about any item(s) they are interested in.

Provide counseling for patients and/or customers relative to their specific needs.

Automate all pharmacy activities according to DMSCO policies and procedures, when applicable.

Supervise subordinates for all activities related to pharmacy practice.

Adherence to Saudi Arabia MOH rules and regulations.

Cooperate with management to implement the strategies of DMSCO.

Report any non-compliance with DMSCO quality standards.
