The role oversees payroll, benefits administration, and staff training programs, monitors development, and advises management on HR best practices. Strong English and HR law knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Instructs management staff in effective recruiting and interviewing techniques.
• Analyses recruitment sources and meets with external agencies for compliance.
• Ensures applicant tracking is up to date and within guidelines.
• Monitors development and utilization; manages training programs.
• Facilitates training; analyzes methods and suggests improvements.
• Ensures compliance with applicable HR regulations and laws.
• Supervises payroll, wages and benefits administration.
• Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English for memos and guidance.
• Performs basic math to forecast departmental expenses and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Instructs the management staff in effective recruiting and interviewing techniques using verbal presentations and written directions to ensure hiring and retention of qualified team members.
• Conducts initial interviews for all positions.
• Analyzes recruitment sources and meets with external agencies to ensure Affirmative Action compliance.
• Ensures applicant tracking is up to date and within the company’s guidelines.
• Monitors team member development and utilization to their maximum potential by managing training programs.
• Facilitates training classes, analyzes and reviews methods, and recommends improvements to management.
• Supervises payroll, wage and benefits programs and ensures accurate and equitable application of wages and benefits.
• Reads, listens and communicates effectively in English to prepare memos and provide instruction and counseling to team members.
• Knowledge of HR practices and applicable laws; basic math to forecast expenses.
