Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR) is seeking a Payroll Accountant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to manage the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our refining and corporate workforce. This role ensures strict compliance with Saudi labor laws, GOSI regulations, and Wage Protection System requirements while maintaining precise financial records. The successful candidate will handle complex compensation elements including shift differentials and overtime for plant operations staff.
The Payroll Accountant will report directly to the Payroll Supervisor and will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our payroll data and statutory filings. This position requires a disciplined approach to monthly closing cycles and proactive management of government portal submissions to support SGR’s operational continuity.
The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for the following key areas:
The role executes monthly payroll cycles by validating attendance, shift allowances, and overtime for plant and office employees to ensure accurate net pay calculations.
This position manages all statutory filings including GOSI subscriptions, Mudad wage protection uploads, and ZATCA reports in strict adherence to regulatory deadlines.
The accountant reconciles payroll bank transfers with general ledger entries and prepares monthly journal entries for salaries, accruals, and provisions.
The role maintains employee master data integrity within the HRIS system and ensures alignment with employment contracts and visa statuses tracked in Muqeem.
This position provides detailed payroll journals, variance analyses, and supporting documentation to facilitate smooth internal and external audit processes.
The accountant responds to employee queries regarding payslips, deductions, and end-of-service benefits with factual accuracy and professional discretion.
The role identifies opportunities to streamline payroll workflows and reduce manual adjustments through better data validation and system utilization.
This position calculates final settlements for departing employees, including pro-rated salaries, unused leave encashment, and end-of-service benefits.
