Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required in some locations.
• Well Control Accreditation Program may be required in some locations.
• Water survival training may be required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
• Basic mathematics, reading and writing skills required.
• Basic computer skills preferred; adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of well logging equipment at work locations under supervision.
• Learn basic oil well operations, including rig types, drill string components, BOP procedures and HSE guidelines.
• Assist in operating well logging equipment at job sites.
• Learn to assemble downhole well logging tools (electric, nuclear, sonic, etc.).
• Learn to maintain and perform preventative maintenance on downhole and surface logging equipment.
• Assist in pre- and post-job vehicle and equipment inspections and related paperwork.
• Identify and report errors; work with supervisor to correct issues.
