Job summary

Saipem in Saudi Arabia seeks an Offshore Environmental Coordinator to support offshore construction by ensuring environmental compliance, implementing EIA/ESIA commitments, and driving performance reporting across projects. You will coordinate marine monitoring programs, assess environmental risks, and ensure MARPOL and other regulations are followed for vessels, subsea works, and marine logistics.

Frequent offshore travel within the Kingdom is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental field (Environmental Engineering/Science).
5+ years in environmental management, preferably offshore oil & gas/construction.
Fluent in English and Arabic.
Experience with Saudi Aramco or similar major client requirements is a plus.
Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, EIA/ESIA, permits and MARPOL compliance.

Responsibilities

Support EIA/ESIA preparation, review, and implementation for offshore projects.
Ensure compliance with permit conditions, regulatory approvals, and ESIA commitments.
Conduct environmental risk assessments for offshore activities (vessel ops, dredging, pipelay).
Coordinate marine environmental monitoring over seawater quality, sediment, waste, emissions.
Develop mitigation measures to minimize impacts on marine ecosystems.
