Job summary

Saudi Gold Refinery seeks a Mine Shift Supervisor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to oversee daily mining operations and ensure safe, efficient ore production for downstream refining.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, you will lead shift crews, enforce permit-to-work systems, monitor production targets, coordinate with maintenance, and mentor Saudi trainees while complying with MIM regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related technical discipline.
• At least five years of mining operations experience with two in a supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic for effective communication.
• Deep knowledge of MIM safety regulations and mining best practices.
• Experience with drill and blast operations in hard rock environments.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting production data and geological models.
• Ability to work rotational shifts in remote locations.
• Valid driving license and fitness for underground or pit site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Direct all mining activities during assigned shifts to maintain ore extraction rates and quality.
• Enforce permit-to-work systems and PPE requirements for site personnel.
• Monitor real-time production to align with daily and weekly plans.
• Coordinate with maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Mentor junior staff and Saudi national trainees to enhance skills.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry regulations and internal policies.
• Lead incident response and investigations for safety or operational disruptions.
• Manage explosive, fuel, and consumable usage to control costs.
• Liaise with geology and processing teams to ensure ore quality meets specs.
• Maintain accurate production, attendance, and safety records for management.
