Job summary

Saudi Gold Refinery SGR in Riyadh seeks a Mine Shift Supervisor to oversee daily extraction operations and ensure safe, efficient ore production feeding refining processes. You will lead shift crews, enforce permit-to-work and PPE protocols, and coordinate with processing and maintenance teams to meet targets while upholding zero-harm principles.

Requirements include a Mining Engineering degree, 5+ years in mining with 2+ in supervision, English and Arabic proficiency, and experience with drill

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline is required.
• At least five years in mining operations with two years in supervision.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic for diverse teams.
• Strong knowledge of MIM safety regulations and best practices.
• Experience with drill and blast in hard rock environments.
• Strong data interpretation and geological model skills.
• Rotational shifts in remote locations; physical fitness for site work.
• Valid driving license required; underground/pit site inspections.
• Saudi gold mining experience and Saudization mentorship valued.
• Familiarity with Deswik or Surpac is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Direct all mining activities during shifts to ensure ore extraction targets.
• Enforce permit-to-work systems and PPE requirements for site personnel.
• Monitor production data to align with daily and weekly plans.
• Coordinate with maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Mentor junior staff and Saudi trainees to build skills.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Lead incident response for safety events during shifts.
• Manage explosives fuel and consumables to control costs.
• Liaise with geology and processing teams to meet specs.
• Maintain accurate production, attendance, and safety records.
