Job summary

Sanofi in Riyadh seeks a Medical Science Liaison – Immunology (Respiratory & GI) to bridge cutting-edge science and clinical practice, engaging with key experts and supporting research initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University degree in life sciences required; MD, PhD, or PharmD strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty care and/or Immunology/Gastroenterology is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical research methodology and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues and external experts at various levels.
  • Ability to work across cross-functional Medical Affairs teams and field Medical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scientific relationships with external experts in Immunology (Respiratory & GI).
  • Map healthcare ecosystem and identify milestones in patient journeys.
  • Provide healthcare professionals with balanced, timely scientific information about the Immunology portfolio.
  • Coordinate Phase IV projects, support investigator-sponsored studies, and assist in publications.
  • Represent Sanofi at medical conferences and staff medical information booths.

You'll build trusted relationships with key scientific experts, support clinical research initiatives, and bring real-world medical insights back to our brand teams to help shape breakthrough treatments for patients with immune challenges. Main responsibilities


  • Build and maintain balanced scientific relationships with key external experts to deepen understanding of customer research needs and opportunities in Immunology (Respiratory & GI).

  • Develop a clear understanding of the healthcare ecosystem through stakeholder mapping and identifying key milestones in patient journeys.

  • Provide healthcare professionals and decision-makers with accurate, balanced, and timely scientific information about our Immunology portfolio.

  • Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs and clinical teams to coordinate Phase IV clinical projects, facilitate investigator-sponsored study submissions, support publications, and assist in site selection.

  • Act as a product expert supporting commercial teams during training sessions, particularly in handling medical objections.

  • Serve as the primary source of real-world medical insights and scientific expert feedback from the field to brand teams.

  • Represent Sanofi at key medical and scientific conferences by staffing medical information booths, gathering competitive intelligence, and observing sponsored speakers.

  • Receive, document, and report adverse events according to company procedures and ensure risk management plan implementation and monitoring.


About you


  • Education: University degree in life sciences required; MD, PhD, or PharmD strongly preferred

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in specialty care and/or Immunology/Gastroenterology is a plus

  • Technical skills: Strong knowledge of clinical research methodology and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively at various management levels, including with scientific external experts

  • Soft skills: Self-motivated team player with business acumen, resource planning abilities, and the capacity to inspire and motivate others

  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic
