To assist in the implementation of mechanical reliability engineering processes and procedures including strategies development, review and auditing, identify and eliminate mechanical reliability bad actors, assist in the Root Cause Analysis of mechanical equipment failures, and to proactively maintain and continuously improve mechanical systems/assets to meet Health, Safety & Environment standards, Industry standards, production requirements and reliability goals.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing mechanical reliability strategies, processes, and procedures to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Conduct regular audits of mechanical reliability programs to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with internal and external standards and guidelines.
- Identify and analyze mechanical reliability bad actors and performance killers, and develop targeted action plans to address root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for mechanical equipment failures, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Evaluate mechanical systems and asset Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs for effectiveness, which includes reviewing and optimizing PM tasks, auditing PM execution at the site, identifying reasons for skipped PM tasks, and recommending improvements to ensure optimal equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Proactively monitor, evaluate, trend and analyze asset's condition and performance ensuring compliance with Maaden Safety, Health & Environment Management (MSHEM) system, industry standards, production requirements, and reliability goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Central Reliability, Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering, to develop and implement RCM strategies and best practices.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to mechanical reliability and provide regular reports to management on progress and areas for improvement.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and performance of mechanical systems and assets.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- University graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in oil or mining or petrochemical in Mechanical equipment maintenance of which at least two years as a Reliability Engineer and asset management of the company.
- Worked on or have a good general understanding of SAP/Oracle ERP systems, MS Office, and good presentation skills.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of RCM, RCA, FMECA and RBI methodologies is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; leadership and working through others; conceptual and analytical thinking; managing change and good problem-solving skills.
- Requires understanding of best industry practices regarding maintenance activities and work processes.
- Requires familiarity with company technical standards, accounting practices, and procurement policies.
