Job summary

Egisgroup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Lead to oversee airport infrastructure projects. Lead a team of engineers and designers, drive BIM-based MEP solutions, and ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code and international standards.

You will manage concept to construction documentation, coordinate across disciplines, and deliver accurate specifications, calculations, and reports while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Airport/aviation or large-scale infrastructure project experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design tools.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers on airport and aviation facility projects.
• Develop mechanical design solutions for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related systems in airport environments.
• Manage the mechanical design phase from concept through construction documentation.

Requirements

• Preferred direct experience on airport, aviation, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Advanced proficiency in MEP design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design tools
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects
• Strong understanding of Saudi Building Code and international design standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.)
• Expertise in BIM modeling and coordination
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
• Experience with design coordination software and clash detection tools
• Project management experience and organizational skills
• Familiarity with airport-specific mechanical requirements and operational constraints
• Professional certification in mechanical engineering or related field (preferred)
