Job summary

Egisgroup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Lead to oversee airport infrastructure projects. Lead a team of engineers and designers, drive BIM-based MEP solutions, and ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code and international standards.

You will manage concept to construction documentation, coordinate across disciplines, and deliver accurate specifications, calculations, and reports while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Airport/aviation or large-scale infrastructure project experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design tools.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers on airport and aviation facility projects.
• Develop mechanical design solutions for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related systems in airport environments.
• Manage the mechanical design phase from concept through construction documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other disciplines for seamless integration.
• Utilize BIM and design software to create detailed models and construction documents.
• Ensure all designs comply with Saudi Building Code, international standards, and airport requirements.
• Conduct design reviews and QA checks for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare specifications, calculations, and design reports for airport projects.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to address design challenges.
• Monitor timelines and budgets while maintaining design excellence.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
