Job summary

ENNISMORE is seeking a Mechanic Technician to support the hotel’s Engineering team. The role focuses on inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations and high guest experience.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with other departments, with flexibility for shifts. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience as a Mechanic Technician or in similar mechanical maintenance role (hospitality/large facility preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (pumps, motors, valves, compressors) and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain pumps, motors, valves, compressors, water systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Inspect plant rooms and mechanical areas for safe, efficient operation.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guest areas and hotel departments.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete work orders on time.
• Assist with installation, replacement, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, organized condition.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and servicing.
• Support energy conservation initiatives within Engineering.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Mechanic Technician is responsible for the inspection maintenance repair and efficient operation of mechanical equipment and systems throughout the hotel The role supports the Engineering team in ensuring that all mechanical installations and equipment operate safely reliably and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of hotel operations and guest experience

DUTIES amp RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine inspections preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical equipment and systems
• Maintain pumps motors valves compressors water systems and other mechanical equipment
• Identify mechanical faults and carry out necessary corrective maintenance in a timely manner
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and technical issues from guest areas and hotel departments
• Conduct regular inspections of plant rooms mechanical areas and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders accurately and on time
• Assist with the installation replacement testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment when required
• Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities defects or potential failures to the Engineering Supervisor
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures hotel standards and applicable regulations
• Maintain tools equipment and work areas in a clean safe and organized condition
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs inspections and equipment servicing
• Assist other Engineering team members with maintenance activities and operational requirements when necessary
• Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives within the Engineering department
• Follow proper procedures for handling spare parts materials and engineering supplies
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations and support the Engineering team in restoring operations safely and efficiently
• Perform other duties as assigned by Engineering management

Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Maintenance or a related field Previous experience as a Mechanic Technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance role Hospitality resort or large facility maintenance experience is preferred Good knowledge of mechanical systems pumps motors valves and associated equipment Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements Ability to work flexible hours including weekends holidays and shifts as required by hotel operations
