Job summary

AccorHotel in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead and coordinate the maintenance team across hotel facilities. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, safety, and timely execution of tasks, requiring a technical diploma and prior supervisory experience in hospitality.

You will diagnose issues, supervise engineers, and ensure compliance with hotel standards while coordinating with contractors and other departments. Flexibility for shifts is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Engineering team
• Assign maintenance tasks and monitor completion to ensure quality and timely execution
• Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, back-of-house areas, plant rooms, equipment, and hotel facilities
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are carried out according to schedules
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, operational issues, and emergencies
• Troubleshoot technical problems and support the team in identifying solutions
• Monitor building systems (M&E, HVAC, plumbing) and ensure safe operation
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs and servicing
• Coordinate with contractors and external service providers when required
• Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives within Engineering
• Ensure workshops and engineering areas are clean, safe and organized
• Communicate maintenance requirements and priorities to other departments
• Assist with training and development of Engineering staff
• Support management with projects, inspections and reporting

Job description

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Engineering team
• Assign maintenance tasks and monitor their completion to ensure quality and timely execution
• Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, back-of-house areas, plant rooms, equipment, and hotel facilities
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are carried out according to established schedules
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, operational issues, and emergency situations
• Troubleshoot technical problems and support the team in identifying effective solutions
• Monitor the condition and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
• Ensure all engineering work is performed in accordance with safety procedures, hotel standards, and applicable regulations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing
• Monitor tools, equipment, spare parts, and engineering supplies and report replenishment requirements when necessary
• Coordinate with contractors and external service providers when required and monitor the quality of completed work
• Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives within the Engineering department
• Ensure workshops, plant rooms, and engineering areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized condition
• Communicate effectively with other departments regarding maintenance requirements and operational priorities
• Support the training and development of Engineering team members and ensure proper working procedures are followed
• Assist Engineering management with departmental projects, inspections, reporting, and operational requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by Engineering management

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or technical qualification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in Engineering or Maintenance within the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of hotel building systems, preventive maintenance, and general maintenance practices.
• Understanding of health, safety, and engineering standards and procedures.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and coordinate appropriate corrective action.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and shifts, as required by hotel operations.
