Job summary

Zahid Industries in Saudi Arabia seeks a skilled technician to install, commission, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment at customer sites.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance on diesel generators (CAT preferred), document inspections and report defects. Arabic is desirable; English is essential. Requires 2–3 years electrical apprenticeship and 3–4 years mechanical apprenticeship, with willingness to travel across the Kingdom.

Qualifications

• To Secondary level, followed by a minimum of 3 - 4 years in Mechanical Apprenticeship.
• Knowledge: Field Service and Workshop on Diesel Engine Generators (preferably CAT)
• Technical Skills: Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
• Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential
• Experience: Minimum of 2 -3 years in Electrical Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, fault analysis, and repairs on all equipment & tool at the site.
• Perform the job assigned in a timely and accurate manner; develop the initiative to learn and perform the Electrical skills independently and with confidence.
• Building and assembling machines or mechanical components according to requirements
• Inspecting machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
• Conducting repairs aiming for maximum reliability
• Troubleshoot and carry routine Preventive Maintenance service on all Rental equipment, as outlined in the Manufacturer’s Service Manual or other published information in the workshop and in the field.
• Submit accurate and complete Inspection Reports, as required by the Service procedures at the site.
• Note and report all defects, damage, misuse, abuse or lack of maintenance on the equipment inspected at the site.
• Responsible for minor and major mechanical repairs, within his technical ability.
• Work overtime when required. Ready to work at any location wherever required in the Kingdom
