Job summary

Zahid Industries in Saudi Arabia seeks a skilled electrical technician specializing in generator sets, panels, and heavy machinery. This role involves workshop and field work, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

You will use testing tools, share knowledge with trainees, and may travel across the Kingdom. A vocational/electrical diploma and 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience are required.

Qualifications

• Vocational/High School Diploma in Electrical education, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electrical works.
• Experience in electrical repairs to generator sets and heavy machinery.
• Proficient in English and Arabic communication.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to generator sets, panels, and machines in workshop and field.
• Perform repair and complex electrical troubleshooting, using testing tools and documenting failures.
• Overtime as required; readiness to work at any location within the Kingdom.
• Train and coach Trainees under supervision as part of the Traineeship program.

Job description

• Carrying out PM, Troubleshooting and repairs to generator sets, panels, and machines in Workshop and Field.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform repair and complex electrical troubleshooting in generator sets, panels, and machines. Ensure good and careful utilization of testing tools and equipment. Be willing and capable of passing on skills to Trainees under supervision, in line with the DepartmentÕs Traineeship program, or be receptive to being trained in coaching and assessing in the workplace. Perform failure reports on all defects, damage, misuse, abuse, or lack of maintenance on the inspected equipment. Work overtime when required and be ready to work at any location wherever required in the Kingdom. Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Vocational / High School Diploma in Electrical education, or Equivalent.
• Knowledge: Knowledge in Electrical works.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of Electrical works for Heavy Machinery and Equipment.
• Language Skills: Ability to speak Arabic and English language spoken and written clearly and understand and listen attentively.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience after successful completion of apprenticeship in the field of electrical repairs to generator sets/machines dealt with in the Company.
