Job summary

Zahid Industries seeks an experienced Electrical Technician to service Rental equipment in Saudi Arabia. You will install, commission, monitor, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, ensuring safety and quality in every task.

The candidate should hold an Electrical Engineering degree or a technical diploma, with 3-4 years of apprenticeship and at least 5 years in diesel generator service, transformers, and cabling. Proficiency in English is essential; Arabic is preferred.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering Vocational / Technical Diploma in Electrical, followed by a minimum of 3 - 4 years in Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Knowledge: Liaises with Customer’s site staff. Liaises with Suppliers.
• Technical Skills: Mechanics, Genet Operators and other Electricians.
• Language Skills: Arabic is desirable. English is essential
• Experience: 5+ years in service/workshop on Diesel Generators, transformers, panel boards and cablings with ability to read manuals and write Work Orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, fault analysis, and repairs on all Rental equipment.
• Submit accurate and complete Inspection Reports, as required by Service procedures at the site.
• Note and report all defects, damage, misuse or lack of maintenance on inspected equipment and arrange setups including cabling.
• Perform manual synchronization of Generator sets to live utility signal using the EMCP control panel.
• Work overtime as required and strictly adhere to safety rules and precautions.

Job description

• Perform installation, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, fault analysis, and repairs on all Rental equipment.
• Perform the job assigned in a timely and accurate manner; develop the initiative to learn and perform the Electrical skills independently and with confidence.

Key Accountabilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical problems on all Rental equipment.
• Submit accurate and complete Inspection Reports, as required by Service procedures at the site.
• Note and report all defects, damage, misuse, abuse or lack of maintenance on the equipment inspected at site, as and when required. In conjunction with other Service personnel: fit, connect and arrange setups, including cabling of Generators and Auxiliary equipment, in accordance to the technical specifications / requirements, maintaining safety precautions at all times.
• Perform manual synchronization of Generator sets to live utility signal by using the EMCP control panel.
• Work overtime as and when required. Strict adherence to safety rules and precautions to protect himself, the others and the equipment he works on.
