Job summary

Faena The Red Sea is seeking a Public Area Supervisor to lead housekeeping for luxury public spaces, ensuring spotless lobbies, restrooms, and common areas in line with elevated design and Forbes 5-star standards.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, maintaining safety and hygiene, coordinating with maintenance and front office, and managing inventories and schedules to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of housekeeping operations in a luxury hotel, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or coordinator role.
• Experience with Forbes or 5-Diamond service standards preferred.
• Familiarity with PMS (Opera) and housekeeping management systems.
• Good understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with housekeeping operations, schedules, and shift planning.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Experience handling guest requests and maintaining service standards in public spaces.
• Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Supervise all housekeeping activities related to public spaces, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and presentation of all guest and staff-accessible areas.
• Develop and manage daily task checklists and cleaning schedules for Public Area Attendants.
• Ensure readiness of high-traffic areas during guest arrivals, dining, and events.
• Provide on-the-spot coaching and guide team members on daily requirements.
• Ensure proper usage, care, and storage of equipment, chemicals, and tools with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate and supervise service assessments for outsourced maintenance contracts for public spaces.
• Maintain updated inventories of cleaning equipment and supplies; flag irregularities and replenish.
• Assign cleaning tasks and monitor performance.
• Inspect rooms, corridors, lobbies and public areas for cleanliness and order.
• Conduct training sessions on cleaning methods, equipment use, and safety procedures.
• Manage stocking and ordering of cleaning supplies to meet budget.
• Resolve guest issues related to cleanliness promptly.
• Prepare reports on departmental activities and resource utilization.
• Supervise and inspect housekeeping staff and ensure daily task completion.
• Conduct quality inspections to uphold cleanliness and Forbes 5-star service standards.
• Help develop training programs and onboarding for new staff.
• Monitor inventory of linens, amenities, and supplies; ensure par levels and restocking.
• Liaise with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
