Job summary

Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Center seeks a dedicated catering and events professional to grow the social catering market for our premier spaces. You will conduct site inspections, organize conventions and maintain precise client communications with partners.

Responsibilities include driving space optimization, managing deposits and billing, and coordinating with clients and departments to ensure flawless events. Flexibility for extended hours and community engagement is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering and conference services within an upscale hotel or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, ethical and proactive with strong integrity.
• Willing to work days, nights and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, solicit and nurture the social catering market for traditional event spaces.
• Conduct site inspections as required.
• Organize convention bookings and catering events and maintain activities in files.
• Coordinate information on meeting specs, AV, rooming lists, food and beverage needs, and disseminate to partners.
• Drive space optimization to maximize guest experience and financial performance.
• Manage billing procedures and ensure deposits/credit applications are timely.
• Conduct pre-conference meetings to confirm details with clients and departments.
• Ensure guest experience on-site and be flexible for extended hours.
• Attend hotel meetings affecting the Catering/Conference Services/Events department.
• Build rapport with clients before, during and after events and encourage repeat business.
• Represent the hotel in the local community as an ambassador.
