Job summary

DeepSource Technologies in Riyadh is seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to manage enterprise Linux server environments, ensuring high availability and security.

You will install, configure, monitor, and optimize systems; automate routine tasks with Bash or Python; and collaborate with development and network teams to support applications.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of Linux experience, strong scripting skills, and familiarity with Red Hat, Ubuntu, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
• Proficiency in shell scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems on physical and virtual servers.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server configurations for maximum efficiency.
• Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery, and security updates.
• Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Collaborate with development and network teams to ensure the seamless deployment and integration of applications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT staff regarding Linux systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Participate in capacity planning and system upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Stay updated with the latest Linux technologies and industry trends.
