Job summary

Deepsource Technologies is seeking a Linux Administrator to manage and support Linux server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will install, configure, monitor, back up, and automate tasks with Bash and Python, collaborating with development and network teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of Linux experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in scripting, with RHCE or CompTIA Linux+

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
4+ years of Linux administration experience.
Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu/CentOS).
Experience with server management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Scripting in Bash or Python; automation experience.
Familiarity with security best practices and cloud services.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems on physical and virtual servers.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize server configurations for maximum efficiency.
Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery and security updates.
Automate routine maintenance tasks using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
Collaborate with development and network teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of applications.
Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT staff regarding Linux systems.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes.
Participate in capacity planning and system upgrades with minimal downtime.
Stay updated with the latest Linux technologies and industry trends.
