Job summary

DeepSource Technologies in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Linux/Veritas cluster administrator to manage Unix systems, VCS clusters, and VMware infrastructure. You will implement security measures, patch systems, and provide BAU support across IT teams in a large data center environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of RHEL6/7/8 in large data center environments.
• Extensive Veritas Cluster Server experience in Linux.
• Test and upgrade VCS with detailed docs for team.
• Migrate/upgrade/build legacy Linux servers to RHEL8.
• Operate large VMware infrastructure and patch Linux servers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee configuration, installation, and maintenance of Unix OS and VCS clusters.
• Apply patches and updates to keep systems secure.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance with IT teams.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and resources.
• Provide fast BAU support for incidents and requests.
• Investigate and resolve complex system issues.
• Implement monitoring tools and scripts (bash).
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations and procedures.
• Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Migrate, upgrade and rebuild legacy Linux servers to RHEL8.
• Test and upgrade VCS and document outcomes for stakeholders.
• Experience with VMware infrastructure operations.
• Patch Linux servers to remediate vulnerabilities.
