Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a senior electrical engineer in Saudi Arabia to lead installation, maintenance, start-up, commissioning and testing of industrial electrical systems in the oil and gas sector.

You will mentor junior staff, analyze failures, and drive performance improvements across critical plant assets, collaborating with operators and engineers in a multi-cultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of field installation and maintenance in oil & gas.
• Experience with LV/HV switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS, rectifiers, and protections.
• Ability to conduct failure analysis and recommend improvements.
• Saudi locals preferred.
• Excellent communication in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, start-up, commissioning and testing of industrial electrical systems.
• Mentor Maintenance Supervisors, Planners and Technicians.
• Identify and implement performance improvements for plants.
• Collaborate with plant operators and engineers.
• Conduct health and condition assessment on critical assets (switchgear, motors, transformers, DC systems).
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.

Job description

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Demonstrated safe work skills
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in field installation, maintenance, start-up, commissioning, and testing of industrial electrical systems in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledgeable and experienced working with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LV/HV switchgear, transformers, motors, UPS, rectifiers and electrical protections.
• Be able to conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for failed electrical equipment.
• Process knowledge relating to Hydrogen/Ammonia/ASU plant operations is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with plant operators, process control engineers, production engineers, plant process engineers and plant management.
• Able to conduct health and condition assessment on critical assets such as switchgear, motors, transformers and DC systems
• Desire to identify, develop and implement performance improvements for our plants.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks as scheduled is required
• Experience of mentoring / coaching less experienced Maintenance Supervisors, Planners and Electrical technicians
• Familiarity with the industry codes and standards.
• Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to effectively work and communicate within a multi-cultural environment
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies.
• Experience in electrical equipment preservation.
• Saudi locals preferred.
