Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a client in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and about 15 years of experience, including 10 years with FEED/EPC MNCs in oil & gas or petrochemical sectors.

The candidate will manage the complete project cycle from basic to commissioning for green and brown field facilities, perform ETAP modeling, and ensure adherence to international codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 15 years’ experience with 10 years in FEED/EPC MNCs building green and brown field facilities in oil & gas, petrochemical or related chemical industries.
• Up-to-date with latest technical developments in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Complete project cycle from basic to detailed engineering including construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support for green/brown field projects.
• Resolve operational and design issues.
• Electrical design related to PDP, FEED and DE.
• Pre-tender stage design.
• Scheduling, man-hour control, productivity and status reporting.
• ETAP modeling and analysis.

Requirements/Qualification

• Bachelor Electrical Engineering
• 15 years’ experience and 10 years should be with recognized international FEED/EPC MNCs, performing electrical engineering to build green and brown field facilities in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related chemical industry.
• Experience in the following:

• Complete project cycle (basic engineering and detailed engineering including construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support) of green/ brown field projects is ideal.
• Resolving operational / design issues
• Electrical design specifically related to PDP, FEED & DE.
• Pre-tender stage design
• Scheduling, man-hour control, productivity and status reporting
• ETAP modeling

• He shall be up to date with the latest technical developments in the respective fields of expertise.
• Supporting Procurement in meeting clients/vendors.
• Deep knowledge of relevant international codes i.e. IEE, IEC, NEC, NFPA, PIP, standards and Industrial practices and regulations
• Capability to interpret Project standards, specifications, analyze exceptions when put up by vendors and to provide technical and engineering support to electrical issues.
• Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge is essential for handling of all the activities related to development / review of electrical engineering deliverables during basic and detailed engineering phases of major projects.
