Job Description
Job Purpose
To develop and manage the Life Science and General Lab business across the Western andSouthern Regions by developing key accounts, generating new businessopportunities, achieving assigned salestargets, and increasing market coverage. For government, public, research and private accounts, with particular focus on Life Science, stem cells, genetics, researchlaboratories, biobanking, blood banks, laboratory equipment, consumables andrelated solutions.
The role is responsiblefor managing opportunities from market identification and customer developmentthrough quotation, purchase order, delivery and invoicing while maintainingaccurate CRM, market and pipeline information.
Responsibilities
- Achieve the assigned annual, quarterly and monthly salestargets for the Western and Southern Regions.
- Develop and manage government, public, private, university, research, stem-cell, genetics, biobank, blood-bank and General Lab accounts.
- Generate new sales opportunities and develop new accountsacross the assigned territory.
- Develop existing customers through cross-selling andexpansion of the complete General Lab and Life Science portfolio.
- Conduct structured market segmentation by region, customer,application, product category and business potential.
- Collect, consolidate and maintain accurate marketinformation including customer databases, installed base, competitors,potential projects, consumption and upcoming requirements.
- Build account plans for strategic customers and identifykey decision-makers, end users, procurement contacts and other stakeholders.
- Maintain regular customer visits according to an approvedweekly and monthly territory plan.
- Develop opportunities from initial customer requirementthrough technical discussion, quotation, negotiation, purchase order, deliveryand invoicing.
- Maintain accurate and updated CRM records for customervisits, opportunities, quotations, expected orders and sales forecasts.
- Manage NUPCO and government account opportunities andunderstand the purchasing and PO workflow of major government customers.
- Identify upcoming tenders, projects, budgets anddirect-purchase opportunities and elevate them internally within the requiredtimelines.
- Follow quotations and opportunities systematically andmaintain clear next actions and expected closing dates.
- Coordinate with technical, logistics, regulatory,supply-chain and finance teams to ensure proper execution of customerrequirements and orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers and product specialists whentechnical or application support is required.
- Develop sufficient technical and application knowledgeacross the assigned product portfolio through continuous self-learning andsupplier training.
- Monitor competitor activities, products, pricing, installedbase and market developments and regularly report relevant information tomanagement.
- Submit required sales, market, pipeline and forecastreports accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Take ownership of the assigned territory andproactively identify business opportunities rather than relying only onincoming customer requests or existing tenders.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in medicallaboratory sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, BiomedicalSciences, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or another relevantLife Science discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevantfield-sales experience in Life Science, research laboratories, laboratoryequipment, medical devices or laboratory consumables.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience ispreferred.
- Previous sales responsibility forgovernment and public-sector accounts is required.
- NUPCO experience is required.
- Previous Saudi Arabia marketexperience is strongly preferred.
- Experience covering the Western Regionand/or Southern Region is strongly preferred.
- Proven history of achieving assignedsales targets.
- Experience selling capital equipmenttogether with recurring consumables is preferred.
- Experience with research, stem cells,genetics, biobanking, blood banks or related Life Science applications isstrongly preferred.
