Job summary

Apparel Group is seeking a kitchen team member to handle basic preparation and support the senior cook in daily food production. You will collect items from stores, prepare mise-en-place, and ensure hygiene and safety standards are followed in line with restaurant policies.

You will also assist in training, maintain equipment, monitor waste to protect food cost, and adhere to management directions while upholding the company values and conduct requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Follows hygiene and safety regulations.
• Maintains clean, organized mise-en-place.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates with senior cook in production of food.
• Assist the senior cook in duties.
• Collect required food items from stores and butchery.
• Prepare mise-en-place according to direction.
• Follow hygiene and sanitation rules.
• Attend training classes and keep records of recipes and procedures.
• Maintain equipment in clean condition and arrange repairs as needed.
• Control waste to maintain food cost within budget.
• Comply with health, safety and security policies.
• Familiarize with emergency exits and evacuation procedures.
• General: comply with corporate code of conduct.
• Be aware of company values and model desired behaviors.
• Perform tasks as directed by Management.
