Job summary

Ektis is seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist to provide first-line IT support on client sites in the GCC. You will handle laptop and device issues, onboarding, password resets, and daily Microsoft 365 guidance, with opportunities to grow into L2 work and broader endpoint management.

You will work in a small team under pressure, gaining hands-on experience with Entra ID, Intune, and security practices while delivering excellent service to colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years in a support/helpdesk role or equivalent.
• Experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 as an end-user platform.
• Familiar with Entra ID, Intune, or Active Directory basics.
• Clear communication and ability to translate technical details for non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues via ticket, chat, phone, and walk-up.
• Log requests accurately and keep requesters informed until resolution.
• Triage and prioritise issues; resolve common problems at first contact.
• Provide day-to-day support for laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Handle password resets, MFA registration and recovery.
• Support end users on Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Investigate escalated incidents to root cause (L2) including OS faults and application conflicts.
• Administer user identities in Entra ID; joiner-mover-leaver, group membership, and sign-in analysis.
• Support Intune enrollment, compliance policies, app deployment, and configuration profiles.
• Set up new joiner laptops end-to-end (enrolment, accounts, software, encryption).
