Job summary

A Riyadh‑based state‑backed enterprise seeks an Investment Director to identify, evaluate and execute strategic opportunities, manage portfolio performance, and support long‑term objectives. You will interact with C‑suite executives, government partners, institutional investors and international co‑investors.

The role requires strong commercial judgement, deep financial expertise and leadership to drive value across the investment lifecycle and governance processes.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of investment experience in PE, IB, SWF, direct investments or investment holding groups.
• Proven track record executing complex transactions and evaluating opportunities.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and deal structuring capabilities.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and investment committees.
• Exposure to state-backed enterprises or government-related entities is desirable.
• Solid understanding of the Saudi Arabian and GCC investment landscape.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business; MBA/CFA advantageous.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Investment Director to join a prominent state-backed enterprise in Riyadh Saudi Arabia The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying evaluating and executing strategic investment opportunities managing portfolio performance and supporting the organisation s long-term investment objectives This is a senior position requiring strong commercial judgement technical investment expertise and the ability to engage with C-suite executives government stakeholders institutional investors and international investment partners

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the organisation s long-term objectives and national economic priorities
• dentify and assess investment opportunities across relevant sectors
• building relationships with corporates financial sponsors sovereign investors and strategic partners
• Lead the full investment lifecycle including financial modelling valuation due diligence structuring negotiations and transaction completion
• Monitor existing investments assess financial and operational performance and identify opportunities to enhance value and generate returns
• Prepare and present investment recommendations financial analysis and strategic proposals to senior management and investment committees
• Work closely with government entities senior executives international investors legal advisers and financial institutions
• Manage and develop investment professionals while maintaining high standards of analytical rigour governance and execution

Candidate Requirements

• 10 15+ years of relevant investment experience within private equity, investment banking, sovereign wealth funds, direct investments or investment holding companies.
• Demonstrable track record of executing complex transactions and evaluating investment opportunities.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and deal structuring capabilities.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and investment committees.
• Exposure to state-backed enterprises, sovereign investment platforms or government-related entities is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian and wider GCC investment landscape.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; an MBA or CFA is advantageous.

Ideal Background

• Candidates may come from leading investment banks, international private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, government-backed investment companies or established corporate investment teams.
• Experience across M&A, direct investments, strategic partnerships and portfolio management would be particularly relevant.
