Job summary

Nascom is seeking an Inventory Controller to monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accuracy between physical counts and ERP records. You will handle receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments, while coordinating with warehouse, purchasing, and finance teams to maintain optimal stock availability.

The role involves daily stock monitoring, regular cycle counts, reporting, and adherence to health and warehouse regulations, with emphasis on accuracy and audit readiness.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of inventory management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily inventory levels and stock movements.
  • Record all receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments accurately.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts.
  • Perform physical stock counts and reconcile them with ERP/system records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, and expired items.
  • Prepare regular inventory reports and provide accurate stock information to management.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, sales, finance, and operations teams.
  • Ensure inventory is stored and handled according to company procedures.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and report potential shortages.
  • Assist in forecasting inventory requirements when needed.
  • Ensure proper labeling, identification, and organization of stock.
  • Follow company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
  • Support internal and external inventory audits.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce inventory losses and improve stock accuracy.
  • Report damaged, missing, or excess inventory to the relevant department.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and warehouse regulations
