Job summary

NTU International A/S seeks a Senior Non-Key Expert – Human Development to support human capital development, education and skills, employment and social policy initiatives for EU project work. The candidate should have at least 7 years of relevant experience and a strong background in policy analysis and institutional reform.

Arabic and French language assets are welcome, with a focus on Egypt/MENA region assignments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in development studies, economics, education, social policy, public policy, labour economics, or a related field.
• Arabic is an asset.
• French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Experience in human development, education, skills development, employment and/or social policy.
• Experience preparing sector assessments, policy analyses, strategies, background papers or recommendations.
• Experience supporting institutional capacity building and reform in public institutions.
• Good knowledge of human capital development and socio-economic policy issues.
• Experience in Egypt and/or the MENA region is highly desirable.

Job description

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the proposal preparation of the EU-funded project called: “Egypt Downtown Facility.”

The overall objective of this assignment is to enhance the effectiveness, coherence and visibility of the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between the European Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt by providing rapid, flexible and high-quality technical assistance in support of jointly agreed bilateral cooperation priorities. This objective will contribute to strengthened policy dialogue, improved programme implementation and reinforced institutional capacities of Egyptian partner entities involved in EU-funded actions.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Senior Non-Key Expert – Human Development to support technical assistance assignments related to human capital development, education and skills, employment and labour-market policies, social policy, institutional strengthening, and socio-economic development.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in development studies, economics, education, social policy, public policy, labour economics, or a related field.
• Arabic is an asset.
• French is an asset.

Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in human development, education, skills development, employment and/or social policy.
• Experience preparing sector assessments, policy analyses, strategies, background papers or recommendations.
