Job summary

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the EU-funded project “Egypt Downtown Facility.” The Senior Non-Key Expert – State Security will support technical assistance related to security policy, institutional security cooperation, and strategic analyses.

The role covers counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, border security and other security threats, with emphasis on Egypt and the MENA region. Arabic language skills are highly desirable for effective engagement.

Job description

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the proposal preparation of the EU-funded project called: “Egypt Downtown Facility.”

The overall objective of this assignment is to enhance the effectiveness, coherence and visibility of the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between the European Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt by providing rapid, flexible and high-quality technical assistance in support of jointly agreed bilateral cooperation priorities. This objective will contribute to strengthened policy dialogue, improved programme implementation and reinforced institutional capacities of Egyptian partner entities involved in EU-funded actions.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Senior Non-Key Expert – State Security to support technical assistance assignments related to security policy, institutional security cooperation, security-sector analysis, counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, border security, organised crime, and other security threats and challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in security studies, international relations, political science, law, criminology, defence studies, or a related field.
• Arabic is highly desirable.

Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in security policy, institutional security cooperation and/or security-sector analysis.
• Experience conducting security assessments, policy reviews, institutional diagnostics or strategic analyses.
• Experience in areas such as counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, border security, organised crime and other security threats and challenges.
• Experience supporting cooperation and policy dialogue between public authorities, international organisations and/or external partners.
• Good knowledge of relevant EU security policies and international cooperation frameworks.
• Experience in Egypt and/or the MENA region highly desirable.
